Cognitive Neuroscience


Which biological processes is cognition based on and what mental processes can be associated with which regions of the brain? These questions are addressed in the field of cognitive neuroscience, which focuses on overlaps in neuroscience and psychology. Cognitive neuroscience research in Freiburg prominently concentrates on social neuroscience, personality psychology, neurobiology, perception and cognition, but also electrophysiology. The field is highly multi-disciplinary which is why cognitive neuroscience research in Freiburg is conducted by researchers with various backgrounds.
